Atlus squeezed its calendar-juggling, gun-to-the-head-summoning RPG into a handheld format and added something no later port matched at the time: a female protagonist with her own social links, fresh angles on the same cast, and even different romantic interests. The visual-novel-style navigation sacrificed the 3D environments but sped everything up. It stood as the definitive version of P3 for more than a decade.
