Alien 3: The Gun is a light-gun rail shooter released by Sega in 1993, transplanting the claustrophobic atmosphere of the third Alien film into an on-rails run through the tunnels of the Fiorina 161 prison. It runs on System 32 hardware, with those scaled backgrounds and the sense of speed characteristic of Sega's shooters of the era. As a licensed shooter, it's representative of an era when Hollywood and the arcade coexisted naturally: gun in hand, pure corridor tension, and jump scares calculated to make you spend the next coin.
