Cresta Mundo is a board whose name points directly to Terra Cresta, Nichibutsu's 1985 vertical shooter, within that habit certain markets had of renaming or adapting successful Japanese boards for regional circuits. There's no solid documentation to precisely confirm its exact origin. Like so many limited-circulation variants, its interest today is mainly that of a case study on how Japanese vertical shooters were replicated and mutated outside their original market.
