Darius Extra Version is a revision of the original Darius that Taito released in 1986, the horizontal shooter set in a universe of sea creatures turned into giant warships, famous for its triple-screen cabinet and branching level routes. This edition incorporates content and difficulty adjustments over the base set. In any of its versions, it remains one of the most fondly remembered shooters of the 80s for its art direction -those mechanical fish-shaped bosses- and for the freedom to choose which path to follow between planets.
