Donkey Kong - Arcade Rainbow is an unofficial modification of Nintendo's 1981 classic, one of those that circulate in the circuit of board preservation and customization enthusiasts: same level design and same rules as the original Donkey Kong, with an altered color palette relative to the factory version. It's of interest as an example of the modification culture surrounding arcade's most beloved classics, rather than as a work with its own identity: the design credit remains, in its entirety, that of the 1981 Donkey Kong.
