Video Pinball, published by Atari in 1981 for Atari 2600 and also known as Arcade Pinball, simulates a full pinball table with flippers, bumpers, and a point-multiplier system that rewards keeping the ball in play as long as possible. Without the ability to tilt the table like on a physical pinball machine, it makes up for that limitation with bounce physics that were well-crafted for the era and several difficulty modes. It's representative of the fascination pinball, still a pillar of arcades and bars in those years, exerted on early home video game designers.
