NFL Football arrived on the Lynx in 1992, developed by BlueSky Software and published by Epyx: American football matches licensed by the US professional league, an overhead view of the field, and offensive and defensive plays simplified to work with just a few buttons, in line with the rest of the handheld's sports catalog. The official NFL license gave it an extra dose of legitimacy compared to other generic sports games on the system. It's one of the few real-brand American football representatives the Lynx had, in a sports catalog that tended to rely more on individual-figure licenses than on full leagues.
