Holy Magic Century is the title under which Quest 64 was known in Europe, one of the few significant Western-published JRPGs Nintendo 64 had: a young mage travels through a world divided into elemental regions, leveling up almost in real time during battles and learning spells according to the element they specialize in. It was developed by Imagineer and published by Konami in Europe in 1998.
It received mixed reviews for its narrative simplicity and unbalanced difficulty, but for many European players it was, for years, the only JRPG they tried on Nintendo's console. It still holds a place of its own in the memory of those who grew up with few Japanese RPG options on the 64.
