800 Fathoms is a submarine action shooter published by Nasco in the early 80s, where the player pilots a sub that must sink enemy ships and dodge depth charges in continuous scrolling. It belongs to that first generation of naval combat arcades that tried to vary the vertical-shooter formula with an underwater setting.
It's not a title that left much of a mark beyond period-board collectors, but as a museum piece it works well to illustrate the huge thematic variety the industry tried out before genres like the shoot 'em up standardized.
