Acrobatic Dog-Fight, published in Japan as Dog-Fight - Batten O'Hara no Sucharaka Kuuchuu-sen, is the work of Technōs Japan and reached the West distributed by Data East in 1984. Visually it recalls Konami's Time Pilot, but adds an idea of its own: an eject button that lets you abandon your own fighter and take control of the enemy plane mid-combat, something uncommon for the time. It's a minor title in Technōs' catalog, today better remembered for its fighting and beat 'em up saga, but it's worth checking out as a sample of how much the air-combat genre experimented before After Burner set a different visual and pacing standard.
