Argus no Senshi, known internationally as Argus, is a Jaleco side-scrolling shooter in which the player's ship coexists with sections where a warrior on foot faces enemies with a blade, an uncommon mix for the time. The structure alternates between both registers to break the monotony of the pure shooter.
It's a curiosity from Jaleco's early catalog, before the company made a name for itself with more polished sports and shooting series. Interesting today as a sample of mid-80s experimentation with genre hybrids.
