Arm Champs II is the continuation of the arm-wrestling arcade Konami released in 1988, a novelty game where the player literally competed by pushing against a mechanical arm or the cabinet's resistance, facing a series of cartoonishly styled rivals. It belonged to that category of arcades built to generate spectacle around the cabinet itself, more than depth of systems. Today it's remembered as a curiosity from the golden arcade era, when the cabinet's hardware — not just the screen — was a central part of the experience.
