Armed F is a vertical shoot 'em up developed by NMK and published in 1988, with the classic structure of the era: a ship stacking power-ups, waves of ground and air enemies, and stage bosses with memorizable patterns. It wasn't among the most remembered shooters of its generation, but it competently delivers on the genre's rulebook. Today it interests mostly collectors of late-80s Japanese shmups, that hinge period before the explosion of complexity that Toaplan, and later Cave, would bring.
