Moon Cresta is one of the foundational vertical shooters of 1980: the ship splits into separate sections as it advances and can redock mid-flight to gain firepower, an idea that anticipated fusion mechanics the genre would revisit decades later. Ataque Androide is the version that circulated under that name in the Spanish-speaking market.
Like so many boards from that era, it traveled under different names depending on the local distributor; what didn't change was the docking mechanic, still cited as one of the most original ideas of the early-80s shooter.
