Baraduke (1985) is a multidirectional-scrolling shoot 'em up from Namco in which the protagonist, Kissy Kawai, explores a hostile alien planet armed with a weapon that fires in two directions at once. It's one of Namco's first games with a clearly defined female protagonist with her own name.
Its most curious legacy is indirect: Kissy would reappear years later as the grandmother of Mr. Driller's protagonist, one of those nods Namco keeps between generations of characters. It's played today more for that genealogy than for being, on its own, a memorable shooter.
