Baseball Stars Professional is SNK's arcade entry in the Baseball Stars series, published in 1990 on Neo Geo hardware. It inherits from its console predecessors the idea of combining playable matches with a roster-management layer, something uncommon in arcade baseball, almost always focused on pure batting-and-pitching action. It's an example of how SNK used the Neo Geo's graphical muscle outside of fighting and shooters too, applying it to a sport that rarely got that much animation care on an arcade board.
