Blade Master is a fantasy beat 'em up developed by Data East in 1991 (known in Japan as Cross Blades!), in which two warriors -one with a sword, the other with spells- advance beating hordes of fantastical creatures. It stands out from other genre entries for its sword-and-sorcery setting instead of the usual city street. It's a competent, little-remembered title within the huge early-90s beat 'em up offering, with artwork still appreciated today for its detail. Worth checking out for genre fans who've already exhausted the Capcom and Konami classics.
