Blast Off is a horizontally-scrolling shoot 'em up published by Capcom in 1989, with the ship and power-up design typical of the company's pre-CPS era, when it still competed evenly with Toaplan, Irem, or Konami in the genre. It never had the reach of Gun.Smoke or 1942, its more remembered contemporaries. Its rarity is precisely its appeal today: it's one of the few late-80s Capcom titles that almost never circulated outside Japan, which is why it interests mostly those trying to complete the studio's catalog piece by piece.
