Burning Fight, released by SNK in 1991, follows three special agents facing off against a criminal organization through a classic side-scrolling course: fists, kicks, and weapons picked up off the ground, in the direct line of Double Dragon and Final Fight. It was one of the first beat 'em ups in the Neo Geo catalog. It didn't reach the impact of the genre's big names, but it's a representative piece of how SNK, before becoming synonymous with fighting games, competently explored almost every arcade action genre.
