Candy Candy —also cataloged as Candy Puzzle— follows to the letter the formula Taito popularized with Puzzle Bobble/Bust-A-Move a year earlier: shooting colored balls from the bottom of the screen to form groups of three or more and pop them before the stack reaches the bottom. It was published by CD Express in 1995 and supports up to three players.
It's one more of the wave of clones that Puzzle Bobble's success generated in the mid-nineties, without contributing much of its own design, but functional as a demonstration of how quickly a winning formula was replicated in that decade's arcades.
