Captain Commando gathers an original cast created by Capcom —the Captain himself, the ninja Mack the Knife, the geneticist Jennety, and the wrestler Ginzu— for a classic side-scrolling adventure from the studio, with the same craftsmanship they had already honed in Final Fight. It came out in 1991 on CPS-1 hardware, with support for four simultaneous players, something uncommon in Capcom's own catalog up to that point. It remains one of the most beloved beat 'em ups of the CPS-1 era: good character design, memorable bosses, and that arcade rhythm meant for group play, which is enjoyed today both solo and with company.
