China Town takes the aesthetic of mahjong tiles and turns them into falling-puzzle pieces: they come down one at a time and the player must arrange them to form groups of three, whether horizontally, vertically, or in an L-shape, with identical tiles or a numerical sequence. Data East published it in April 1991, exclusively for the Japanese market. It's one of the many tile puzzles that proliferated in the early 90s in the shadow of Tetris's success, with the particularity of dressing that mechanic in mahjong iconography instead of abstract blocks.
