Condor is a European copy of Phoenix, the classic shooter with waves of mechanical birds and a final mothership: it keeps the original gameplay almost intact, but adds a fuel gauge that limits how long each match can last, a twist not present in the game it copies. It circulated under different labels —Sidam in Italy, also attributed to Valadon Automation in France— typical of how early-80s European board piracy was distributed. Above all, it's a document of that era when cloning someone else's hit with small additions was a common commercial strategy in the continental arcade circuit.
