Crazy Kong Part II belongs to the family of unauthorized Donkey Kong clones that proliferated when Nintendo's original board became a success impossible to ignore for competing operators and manufacturers. It keeps the structure of climbing platforms while dodging barrels as a giant gorilla dominates the screen.
These "crazy" versions are today pieces of interest for the study of board piracy in the early years of Japanese arcades, a chapter as murky as it is revealing of how much a winning formula was worth at the time.
