Dai Ressya Goutou —literally 'The Great Train Robbery'— is the Japanese version of Iron Horse, Konami's Wild West-set game in which the player controls a thief who advances car by car, inside and on top of the train, hitting or shooting at other outlaws while collecting money bags. Ladders connect the inside and outside of the train, adding a vertical dimension uncommon for a horizontal-scrolling platformer of the era.
It's an early example of how Konami mixed platforming with both melee and ranged combat within a single design, a year before the house refined that formula in other action titles of the period.
