Darius Gaiden, subtitled Silver Hawk, is the 1994 installment of Taito's celebrated horizontal shoot 'em up series, known for pitting the player against monumentally scaled mechanical sea-creature bosses and for its branching-route system that lets players choose their path through the stages.
It is one of the most highly regarded entries in the Darius saga, both for its technical display and for keeping that unmistakable boss design that made the series a benchmark of the genre.
