DoDonPachi III is the name under which Cave distributed outside Japan the Black Label version of DoDonPachi Dai-Ou-Jou, the third chapter of its flagship vertical shooting series. It keeps the extremely dense bullet structure and chain system that made the saga synonymous with the so-called 'danmaku' or bullet shooter.
It's one of the boards most venerated by the genre's competitive community: demanding to the limit, but with pattern reading that, once mastered, becomes pure choreography. A mandatory reference for anyone wanting to understand why Cave is synonymous with auteur shooters.
