Dokaben 2 is the follow-up to the Japanese baseball arcade game based on Shinji Mizushima's popular manga about a school baseball team, which brought the rivalry and tournament spirit of the original work to a sports simulator designed exclusively for the Japanese audience.
Like every sports manga license, it depended heavily on the player's prior knowledge of the work, which is why it never left its market of origin.
