Donkey Kong Duel takes the climbing-and-barrel-dodging structure of the Nintendo classic and reorders it for face-to-face competition, a modification typical of the ecosystem of hacks and alternate versions that surrounded the original board since its explosion in popularity.
Like so many unofficial variants, it circulated outside authorized channels and today is more an archival curiosity than a title with its own identity.
