Donkey Kong Hearthunt is, as its name indicates, an unofficial modification of Nintendo's 1981 Donkey Kong, with romantic-themed graphical tweaks over the untouched structure of the original game: the same barrels, the same platforms, the same rescue mission. It's a piece of the extensive hack-and-reskin culture surrounding Nintendo's classics, made for the enthusiast circuit rather than to represent a design work of its own.
