Donkey Kong Spooky Remix is another unofficial modification of Nintendo's 1981 classic, with a light horror visual theme -pumpkins, ghosts, the typical dark Halloween palette- mounted over the same level structure and rules of the original. Like the other variants in the same family of hacks, its value lies in documenting the vitality of the classic-modification scene, not in bringing a design of its own beyond the visual makeup.
