Dragon World 3 runs, like the rest of the saga, on IGS's PGM board and keeps the Shanghai-type solitaire mechanic that defines the entire series: matching sets of identical tiles to make them disappear from the board, with an aesthetic reminiscent of mahjong without actually being it. It came out in March 1998 and supports up to four players.
It's one of the many tile puzzles that sustained a steady niche in Asian arcades during the nineties and 2000s: short, low-risk sessions, designed for an audience seeking a pause rather than adrenaline among the shooters and beat 'em ups elsewhere in the arcade.
