F-1 Dream is a Formula 1 racing game with top-down perspective, within the wave of single-seater simulators that various Japanese manufacturers produced in the late 80s and early 90s, taking advantage of the category's growing popularity in Japan itself during those years. It's a low-profile title within a very crowded genre, but it documents well the era's taste for bringing the speed and precision of real Formula 1 to the arcade format.
