Crystal Mines II came out for the Lynx in the early nineties, developed by Color Dreams and published by Atari Corporation: it continues the gem-collecting, rock-dodging formula that made Boulder Dash popular, with a considerable number of levels and a difficulty curve designed for long puzzle-solving sessions. The player must plan every move, because a single mistake often means getting trapped with no way out. It's one of the most respected puzzles in the Lynx catalog, to the point that the homebrew scene gave it continuity years later with unofficial sequels, a sign of how much affection the community still holds for the original.
