Evolution: Dino Dudes arrived in 1994, developed by Imagitec Design and published by Atari Corporation: the player must assign different abilities to a line of small dinosaurs walking nonstop forward, so they can dodge obstacles and reach each level's exit alive, in a formula that owes an obvious debt to Lemmings. The difficulty progression demands carefully planning the order and timing in which tasks are assigned. It's one of the sturdiest strategy puzzles in the Jaguar catalog, though it was commercially overshadowed by flashier action games on a console that above all needed to flex graphical muscle.
