Frog Feast is the work of independent studio Rastersoft, originally published in 2005 for the Neo Geo CD and Sega CD before expanding to a long list of systems, among them the Jaguar and the Jaguar CD: a direct arcade proposal, with a frog that must catch increasingly fast prey while the screen fills with dangers. It belongs to that crop of 2000s independent games that decided, out of pure retro devotion, to keep releasing versions for nineties hardware long after its commercial discontinuation. Its arrival on the Jaguar doesn't respond to Atari's golden era but to this later movement of amateur developers who kept sustaining the console's catalog well into the new millennium.
