Journey Escape, published by Data Age in 1982 for the Atari 2600, has the five members of rock band Journey dodging photographers, groupies, and greedy managers on their way from the stage to the waiting limousine, collecting money along the way to afford passage on the ship that gets them out of town. It was born from the early-'80s musical licensing fever, when any band with a hit record seemed like a candidate for its own cartridge. Over time it gained a reputation as one of the worst licensed games in Atari 2600 history, though today it's remembered with more ironic affection than real contempt.
