Lady in Wading, published in 1982 by Mystique under the Playaround label for the Atari 2600, reverses the roles of Knight on the Town: now it's a heroine building a bridge piece by piece to cross a moat and reach a prince, dodging the same escalating obstacles as the original game. It came out as a "double-ender" cartridge alongside a reissue of Beat 'Em & Eat 'Em, another Mystique title, the pioneering — and later controversial — adult-content company on the Atari 2600. Alongside its male counterpart, it's one of the most cited documents of that uncomfortable side of the console's early history, rarely recalled with any pride.
