Phantom UFO suggests, by its name, another variation on the alien-invasion shooter that dominated much of the early-80s computer and console catalog, with flying saucers as the central threat. There isn't, however, enough reliable documentation to pin down its specific development or exact release year with certainty.
Faced with that lack of certainty, we prefer honesty: it's one more piece of the era's scattered catalog, of interest to the curious collector rather than a well-documented chapter of the medium's history.
