Poetiru is the work of programmer Sebastian Mihai, who released it in 2015 along with its source code and his own development kit for the 7800, designed so other programmers could use it as a starting point. The mechanic is simple: the bear protagonist is invulnerable and motionless at the start of each level until the player presses the action button, at which point he must chase cupcakes bouncing around the screen while an additional enemy joins in at each stage. It's a clear example of the educational homebrew circulating in the 7800 scene: a simple but complete game, meant both to be played and to serve as a reference for anyone wanting to learn to program on the system.
