Published in 1977 as part of the console's original launch lineup, it has each player leave a solid trail behind their position while trying to trap the rival against that same trail or the edges of the screen, a formula that years later would become recognizable thanks to the light cycles of "Tron" and, much later, to "Snake" clones. It's a territorial-strategy exercise resolved with the barest possible graphical expression.
It's remembered today as a curious precursor of mechanics that would become far more famous in other formats, and as a key piece of the console's foundational catalog.
