The Music Machine, published in 1983 for the Atari 2600, has the characters Stevie and Nancy collecting in a basket the symbols falling from a music machine at the top of the screen: harps, lambs, angels, and hearts representing the "Fruits of the Spirit" — love, patience, gentleness, faith — according to Christian tradition. It was distributed almost exclusively in religious bookstores in the United States, which made it, as specialized collectors document, the first explicitly religious-themed video game in history. Its extremely small print run also made it one of the rarest and most sought-after cartridges in the entire Atari 2600 library.
