Video Reflex offers a series of tests centered on measuring and training the player's reflexes, in line with the pure-skill games that also served as technical demonstrations of Atari 2600 hardware in its early years. It's one of the many titles that bet on direct reaction challenges rather than any narrative or complex system. Like so many early console games, its interest today is mainly historical, as an example of the simplicity with which complete experiences were built in the early years of Atari's catalog.
