4 Wheel Thunder takes Midway's arcade formula off-road: circuits packed with ramps, mud, and shortcuts, with vehicles that respond more to exaggerated physics than to any simulation ambitions. The design prioritizes immediate speed and constant collisions with the rest of the field over technical handling, in line with other turn-of-the-century racing arcades.
It wasn't one of the titles that defined Dreamcast's racing catalog, but it remains a direct, no-frills diversion for anyone looking to round out the console's off-road section.
