Studio Smilebit turned Tokyo into a canvas: skating, tagging, and outrunning an unhinged cop to Hideki Naganuma's impossibly funky soundtrack, one of the most sampled in gaming. In the United States it was renamed Jet Grind Radio over a trademark dispute. Its pioneering cel-shading and cultural swagger keep it standing as the eternal symbol of Dreamcast personality.

What the staff says
