Capcom assembled 56 characters by recycling sprites from a decade of games and created the longest-lasting competitive chaos in the fighting genre: it stayed in the tournament scene for more than ten years, with legendary teams like Magneto-Storm-Sentinel. Its jazz-lounge soundtrack, with the eternal "gonna take you for a ride," is an inside joke for the entire community. Licensing issues keep it held hostage, off store shelves.
