Forsaken 64 brings to the console the proposal of Forsaken, the ship shooter that moves freely in all six directions of space (up, down, forward, back, and sideways) through underground tunnels, in the tradition Descent had inaugurated years earlier on PC. The original version was developed by Probe Entertainment, and the Nintendo 64 port was handled by UK studio Iguana Entertainment, published by Acclaim Entertainment in 1998.
It's a demanding shooter, with a steeper learning curve than the straight corridors of Turok or GoldenEye, but it rewards anyone willing to master its three-dimensional movement. It remained one of the console's most technical —and least played— offerings in the genre.
