Developed by n-Space to accompany the home-console launch of "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3," "Defiance" transposes the series' conflict into a more linear, arcade-style action structure, far from the first-person shooting of the main versions, adapting to the handheld's control limitations.
It's one of Activision's last attempts to maintain a presence for its major war franchises on DS, already in the final stretch of its commercial life. It works as a curiosity within the Call of Duty catalog rather than as an essential entry in the series.
