It brought to the handheld one of the most revered JRPGs in history, originally from 1995, with its time-jump structure, multiple endings, and a cast -Crono, Marle, Frog, Magus- that became canon for the genre. The DS edition added an extra dungeon, a collectible bestiary, and Wi-Fi compatibility for trading items. More than a decade later, it remains one of the best entry points into classic JRPGs: brisk pacing, battles with no screen transition, and a story that doesn't artificially pad its length.
