Be Ball, published in 1990 by Marigul Management for the PC Engine, puts the player in charge of a ball that rolls through platform stages collecting pieces with the visual logic of a Rubik's cube, solving each level as a puzzle of movement rather than pure reflexes. Its simple look and carefully tuned difficulty curve turned it over the years into one of those cult titles PC Engine collectors recommend almost in secret. It had no sequel and little impact at the time, but it aged far better than other, noisier releases from its year.
